Construction Supervision

Construction supervision by an energy consultant is a specialist service that helps homeowners and those commissioning building work to carry out energy-related renovations or new builds efficiently, sustainably and in line with funding requirements.

The energy consultant accompanies the entire construction process, checks the planned measures for their energy efficiency and ensures that both the statutory requirements and the conditions of the funding programmes (e.g. KfW or BAFA, the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control) are met. This includes continuous checks of the building envelope and of the heating and ventilation systems, as well as advice on choosing sustainable materials and efficient technologies.

Professional construction supervision ensures that the building project is optimised in terms of both energy and cost – leading in the long term to lower energy costs, greater living comfort and better value retention of the building. When renovating to efficiency house (Effizienzhaus) standard and for a subsidised new build, construction supervision is also a prerequisite for the payment of government funding, as the proper implementation of the measures must be verified by a qualified energy consultant. For individual measures it is optional, but it is likewise subsidised at 50%.
