ISFP

The individual renovation roadmap (iSFP) is a detailed concept that helps building owners to improve the energy performance of their properties. The iSFP provides a comprehensive analysis of a building’s energy efficiency and gives specific recommendations for action, tailored to the property and to the owner’s goals. It contains a step-by-step plan of measures for improving energy efficiency sustainably.

First, the building is examined in detail. Among other things, the condition of the thermal insulation, the quality of the windows, the heating and ventilation systems and other energy consumers are assessed. On the basis of this analysis, a comprehensive report is produced that shows the current energy consumption and highlights potential savings.

The iSFP gives owners a long-term renovation strategy, for example for insulation measures, replacing the heating system or using renewable energy. If you implement measures from an iSFP funded by BAFA (Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control) within 15 years, the eligible costs for insulation, windows, ventilation and heating optimisation double under the Federal Funding for Efficient Buildings (BEG) – for a single-family house from €30,000 to €60,000 per year. For the share of costs above €30,000, there is also an iSFP bonus of 5 percentage points; the bonus does not apply to replacing the heating system.
